We extract and anonymize pricing data only. When you create an account: We collect your email address and name via Clerk, our authentication provider. When you join the waitlist: We collect your email address, ZIP code, trade needed, and optional project timeline. When you submit pricing data (contractors): We collect your business name, trade, service area, and pricing ranges.
We do not store: the contractor's name or contact information from uploaded quotes, the homeowner's name or address from invoices, payment information, or any personally identifiable information from quote images. Images are processed in memory and discarded after analysis.
Quote pricing data is anonymized and aggregated to improve our local pricing benchmarks. This helps future homeowners get more accurate analyses. We may email you about your account, new features, or when a contractor joins your area (if you signed up for the waitlist). We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with contractors beyond what you explicitly authorize through the lead matching feature.
If you request a contractor match, we share only your ZIP code, trade type, and quote score with the matched contractor. Your name, email, and contact details are never shared without your explicit consent. The contractor is notified of general demand in their area, not your personal identity.
We use the following third-party services: Clerk (authentication), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing for contractors), Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Anthropic (AI analysis). Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing data they process on our behalf.
Anonymized pricing data is retained indefinitely to improve benchmarks. Account data is retained while your account is active. Waitlist signups are retained until you request removal or a contractor match is made. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing bryan@squaredup.app.
We use essential cookies for authentication (via Clerk). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use third-party analytics that sell your data.
